MANDERES

Tonight I joined Catherine's meet-up group at Manderes .This is only my 2nd meet up that I have been able to attend. I normally don't go places by myself, but this group is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and I really have to start going to more of these meet-ups. Tonight Manderes was having a tasting of the Beers of the British Isles.. hmm.. I asked the waiter if they were serving the beers at room temperature, like they do in England. He said No.. but it was 9 6oz pour of different beers plus an appetizer plate for 18.00. I thought that was too many beers and I'd never be able to drive home after. They did look interesting as several people in the group decided to go for the tasing. The appetize was a huge plate of Beef Kabobs and Fries and maybe some other things but I couldn't tell. It was huge. When I left they were only on about beer # 5 or so.. long night.

I had the Green Flash IPA, good, but a tad bitter. I also had the fried Asparagus appetizer and the Burger and onion rings. Katherine and her roomate spit the Asparagus and a plate of Onion Rings and also the Steak Entree. Some of the other things ordered were the Clam Chowder, Pastrami Sandwich and what looked like a Chicken dish.. I couldn't see what was ordered at the other end of the table. I had a great time.. the food was good and tons of it. Great food and company.
